RACE INFORMATION

With and exponential growth of trail running practice in Portugal and with hundreds of trail running events every year, Madeira Islands stands out!

Since 2014, trail running finds in Madeira a special place! With its mountains, forests and climate, Madeira is an authentic paradise for trail run practice. To trail run in Madeira is to combine in a perfect symbiosis the pleasure of running with exploring the nature, with total respect for the environment and sports ethics. History, culture, fauna e flora are served to the participants in amazing trail running events all around the Madeira archipelago.

Following the tradition of great Madeira’s trail running events, AARAM – Associação de Atletismo da Região Autónoma da Madeira (Athletics Association of Madeira), in a partnership with the parish of Boa Ventura, organizes for the third time the Boa Ventura Trail. The trail will take place in January 2019, in the parish of Boa Ventura and counts for the Trail Madeira Circuit, season 2017/1018.
The Boa Ventura Trail is a trail running event which takes place entirely within the charming Boa Ventura parish, in the county of São Vicente, located in the north of Madeira Island. This trail running event consists of two races, both having a circular format: the main race (TLBV), a long trail with about 25 km. and 1620 m. of positive gradient, and a secondary race (TCBV), a shorter trail with about 11km. and 774 m. of positive gradient.

Participants will get together at 8H30 near the Boa Ventura’s church and both races will begin simultaneously at 9H15 in the center of Boa Ventura, at the Caminho da Beira da Achada. The time limits are 12H30 for the short trail and 15H00 for the long trail. After the time limit of the long course will take place the Awards Ceremony.

The registration prices for the short trail (TCBV) are €9,00 (for AARAM associates) and €10,00 (for non-associates).
The registration prices for the long trail (TLBV) are €13,50 (for AARAM associates) and €15,00 (for non-associates).

Participants should be integrated into one of the following categories: Juniors, Seniors or Veterans. The registration deadline is 30.12.2018.
