The MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final, inspired by “Le Tour de France”, is a 5-day stage race organised by Madeira Ocean & Trails.

THE STAGES
Stage 1
Seixal – 23,6km featuring 1687m elevation. A circuit of the North West of Madeira.

Prizes
There will be prizes distributed per stage (daily)
- Stage Podium Mens and Women’s
- Stage Best climber Podium M&W
- Stage Best downhiller Podium M&W
- Stage Best sprinter Podium M&W
At the end of the 5-day event, an overall ranking will be established. The Overall Golden Trail World Series winners, male and female, will be the ones with the largest number of points from the best 3 results of the GTWS races + the mandatory finale stage race in Madeira.
The points will be given to the Top 30 of each stage, not on the overall ranking.
100 points for each stage winner. 50 points for the Time Trial winners.
450 points will be given to the winners during these 5 days.
THE CATEGORIES
International Elites – The top 30 Men and Women from the overall ranking after the 6 races of the GTWS will be considered international elites. They will be fully invited* to the GTWS Stage race in Madeira.
National Elites – The top 3 Men and Women from each GTNS will be the representative for each GTNS Team and will be fully invited* to the Stage race in Madeira
THE OPEN CATEGORY WILL BE OPEN TO ALL (INDIVIDUAL RANKING) EXCEPT THE INTERNATIONAL ELITES.

Addition of the points of the 3 best results of the races from the GTWS 2022 + of each day of the Madeira Ocean & Trails Stage Race.

On each stage, segments of SPRINT, CLIMB, and DESCENT will be delimited by flags specific to each segment colour. Each runner will be timed, and the 3 fastest Men and Women’s runners of the day will be rewarded.

The 3 Men and Women runners with the least time on the 5 segments of each discipline will be rewarded.
