RACE INFORMATION

For all who visit the Madeira Islands, Porto Moniz is a must stop! The municipality of Porto Moniz is located in the northern part of Madeira Island and the road that connects Porto Moniz to São Vicente is one of the most beautiful in Madeira, literally dug into the mountain and occasionally crossed by waterfalls that hit the sea.

Porto Moniz is known for its magnificent saltwater natural pools made of volcanic rocks, which excel by their beauty and peculiar origin. Porto Moniz is also the home of 67% of the Laurisilva Forest of Madeira, a true enchanted forest, full of native fauna and flora and with very ancient origins dating back 20 million years.

Due to its natural conditions, the municipality of Porto Moniz has also become a mandatory destination for trail runners!
